COMANCO has completed its work repairing and upgrading a secondary containment area in Tampa, FL. The crew, led by Superintendent Bill Newman, finished the project which included a wide variety of tasks. The area first required COMANCO to dewater and remove the existing vegetation that had overgrown the area. They then imported clean fill to prep the subgrade for GCL installation. Once the GCL was installed, the crew imported additional fill to cover the GCL and installed a layer of Nonwoven Geotextile and #57 limestone to finish.
The crew also rebuilt a containment berm utilizing imported clay material. In the end, COMANCO delivered another quality product to its client, while recording no safety incidents, and delivering on the intended schedule.
