COMANCO has begun the renovation of a scale house located at a landfill in Polk County, FL. The work will take several weeks to complete, as COMANCO will work off hours, in conjunction with the landfill, in order to minimize disruption of normal operation.
The main facet of the renovation will be to remove the existing windows and bank drawers, and install new, larger quick-serve windows. This will allow both the scale house employees and the landfill customers to have easier transaction access, and expedite payment process. The interior of the scale house will receive a make-over as well. The existing layout will be modified, and new adjustable desks will be brought in to help create a more streamlined and ergonomic working area.
