Last week, COMANCO Environmental began a 6.7 acre cell construction project at a landfill near Dallas, Texas. COMANCO’s scope of work associated with the construction of the new cell includes installation of: – 200-mil double-sided underdrain geocomposite (28,000 SF), – 60-mil smooth HDPE liner (205,000 SF), 60-mil textured HDPE liner (125,000 SF), 250-mil single-sided drainage composite (207,000 SF), and 250-mil double-sided drainage composite (105,000 SF). COMANCO’s work also consists of 1,175 LF of tie-in to existing liner and 800 LF of extrusion weld for the rain flap. The 10 man crew on this project is led by Superintendent Rogelio Gomez, and the project is scheduled to finish this Friday, 6/6/14.
