Last week, COMANCO Environmental began work on a 5.2 acre cell construction at a landfill in Robstown, Texas. COMANCO’s work associated with the construction of the liner system consists of: – installation of 60-mil smooth HDPE liner (177,000 SF), – installation of 60-mil textured HDPE liner (50,000 SF total with 20,000 SF on 2:1 slope), installation of single-sided drainage composite (177,000 SF), and installation of double-sided drainage composite (29,000 SF). The scope of work for COMANCO also includes installation of one 10″ pipe boot, 900 LF of extrusion weld for rain flap, and 600 LF of tie-in to existing liner. Nathan Wilfong is supervising the 10 man crew on this project, and the project is tracking to finish this Thursday 6/5/14, ahead of schedule.
