Last week, COMANCO Environmental began a liner installation project at a phosphate plant on the east coast. The project consists of installing nearly 4,000 SF of 60-mil smooth HDPE liner around pile caps and containment tanks. The liner is connected to concrete via an extrusion weld to a concrete embed channel. The total amount of extrusion weld to the embed channel is approximately 650 LF.
Once the liner is in place, 3,000 SF of 12-250 single-sided geocomposite is then installed. Also included within the scope of this project is the installation of three 24″ pipe boots. Due to other activities going on during the day, COMANCO’s work is being done on night shift. Superintendent Tony Sanchez and the six man crew adjusted quickly and are doing a fantastic job of working safely and efficiently.
