The Phosphate Industry: A vital link to the world’s food supply.
Last night, COMANCO Environmental attended the 2015 Annual BBQ Dinner & Social hosted by the Florida Phosphate Political Committee (FPPC) at The Lakeland Center in Lakeland, FL.
The event was a great success and welcomed over 1500 professionals who work in the phosphate industry. Hershel Morris with Mosaic opened the event introducing guest speakers Florida Governor Rick Scott, Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
After dinner, the guests heard from other guest speakers with Mosaic and PotashCorp who shared updates pertaining to the phosphate industry.
Phosphate is a nutrient that’s vital to all living things and is found naturally in our food, our water and our bodies. Florida’s rich phosphate deposits are a vital link in the world’s food chain and a key ingredient in crop nutrients.
A big Thank you!
On behalf of the COMANCO team, I would like to thank our Vendors for spending the evening with us and your continued support of this annual event, the FPPC and for participating in a united industry effort. It is recognized and sincerely appreciated.
