The long slopes of Coffin Butte Landfill are steadily getting covered. The 60-mil double-sided textured high Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Tertiary geomembrane layer, the 8 oz geotextile layer, and the 40-mil double-sided textured HDPE secondary geomembrane layer are already deployed. Superintendent Tony Sanchez and his crew are currently working on the 60-mil HDPE primary geomembrane layer and geosynthetic clay liner (GCL). The project should be completed by the end of the month.
