COMANCO has completed another project for owner ASARCO Silver Bell Mining LLC and customer Rummel Construction, the project was located in sunny Marana, Arizona. This project was a little different than the other projects we have done in the past, COMANCO installed a CETCO Bentomat CLT which offers a Supergroove technology, a groove in the nonwoven fabric that allows the bentonite to travel out and self-seam at the overlap, this option made for a smooth installation without machine welding or sewing. This feature also eased the installation process by eliminating the need for supplemental bentonite. COMANCO provided and installed approximately 37,500 SF of CLT material. The ASARCO Silver Bell West Oxide Pond team was Superintendent Martin Calderon, Project Manager Scott Harker and Project Engineer Ruben Rios-Llamas.
