COMANCO puts the final touches on the construction of a 45 mil Reinforced Polypropylene leachate pond floating cover system in Benton County, Oregon. This particular Floating Cover application was designed as an economical way for the customer to eliminate the cost associated with the infiltration and treatment of rainwater and snow melt. Additionally, with the Floating Cover above, and in contact with the liquid, the odors will remain in the liquid, creating an Odor Control System for the property and surrounding developments.
The scope of work included: Cleaning, Inspection, testing, and repair of the existing Primary Geomembrane, installation of a 45 mil Reinforced Polypropylene Geomembrane, Floats, Sand Tubes, and other appurtenant components necessary for the proper function of the system. Installation of the perimeter mechanical fastening system, storm water sumps, pumps & discharge system.
