This week, COMANCO proudly exhibited at the 39th Annual Florida SME (FLSME) Regional Mining Conference and sponsored the 20th Annual FLSME Golf Extravaganza in Central Florida.

Florida’s mining industry. From containment system design and liner rehabilitation to mine closure construction and water management, the conversations reinforced the importance of collaboration throughout every phase of a mining project.

39th Annual Regional Mining Conference
On October 14 and 15, COMANCO exhibited at the 39th Annual Florida SME Regional Mining Conference at the Trinkle Center at Hillsborough Community College in Plant City.
This year’s conference theme, Innovation, Critical Minerals, and Sustainability, brought together professionals from across the mining industry to discuss emerging technologies, environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, and the evolving regulatory landscape affecting mining operations.

20th Annual FLSME Golf Extravaganza
The week opened on Tuesday, October 13, at The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland. COMANCO joined the 20th Annual FLSME Golf Extravaganza as a business sponsor, and our team took part in the tournament.
The format was a foursome scramble with flight prizes, long drive and proximity contests, door prizes, and a putting contest, followed by a buffet dinner. The relaxed setting gave us time to talk with colleagues from engineering firms, operators, and suppliers without the pressure of a meeting agenda.
Most importantly, all proceeds from the tournament fund scholarships and grants in the local community, which is the real reason to attend. COMANCO is proud to support efforts that strengthen both the mining industry and the communities where we live and work.
