Recently, COMANCO purchased a Man Lift for our fleet department to utilize on projects. The Man Lift was purchased with SAFETY in mind and has already made a difference in our day-to-day operations. This machine provides a safe space for our employees to work at heights over six feet. It is used for the purpose of lifting workers, tools and light materials and can move easily on the work site and provide safer access in hard to reach areas. The design of these lifts allows operator mobility and flexibility which increases efficiency. It also replaces the use of traditional ladders, man-baskets on lift trucks and scaffolds to make working at high elevations safer. Our workers can complete projects more safely, including repairing trailers, trimming trees, and overhead work on heavy equipment.
Last week, COMANCO employees received classroom and hands-on training from Ring Power CAT which taught the crews how to utilize the equipment properly. By training the operator of the equipment, this will ensure that the correct steps are being taken for injury prevention.
