Last week, Quality and Safety Department Manager Greg Pignataro along with QA/QC Engineer Evan Bao and Safety Officer Todd Klementz traveled to Houston Texas to attend HCSS Safety Training.
HCSS Safety is a web and mobile application designed for heavy civil construction that will assist COMANCO in providing an even more comprehensive safety culture throughout the company by putting safety directly into our employee’s hands. This software application will allow our Field Supervisors to hold and record meetings and toolbox talks; perform inspections and job hazard analyses (JHAs); record near misses, incidents, and safety observations; track and manage employee skills and certifications; and maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and DOD regulations. The best part is they can do all of this with a tablet and send the information to the office filling out a single piece of paper!
