COMANCO Purchases NEW FUEL TRAILER

by

COMANCO recently purchased a new, one-of-a-kind fuel trailer (MTT 460) from Thunder Creek Equipment.  While attending ConExpo back in March, President Mark Topp saw the trailer on display.  He came home, did his research and the decision was made to make the purchase.   This trailer has four tanks each holding 115 gallons of fuel, not including the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) tank. There is also a 100-gallon tank which carries DEF fluid. This will replace the 2.5-gallon containers currently given to the field employees for their equipment. With this trailer, HAZMAT placards are not required. The tanks are below the 120-gallon threshold the DOT requires with any tank 120 gallons or more.

This trailer also comes with the extra features listed below:

  • A utility box for tools specifically needed for the trailer
  • A compressor with generator & 50-foot hose with air or an electrical source for small electric hand tool use
  • Additional space for 35lb grease & 50-foot reel with trigger nozzle
  • 100-gallon DEF tank with 50-foot hose
  • 50-foot hose reel attached to all four tanks, to evenly distribute fuel, so all tanks empty simultaneously
  • Electric hydraulic jack used to set the trailer
  • Solar battery charger & solar panels for attached work light
  • A spill kit for emergencies

This trailer will support the field and allow our drivers to tow it to a location at any time without utilizing a 3rd party haul.  This helps to reduce the hauling fees we incur with our fuel tanks and fuel trucks.  This trailer will also give our management team in the field one more option when the project does not require over 500 gallons of fuel on site to support the job.

With a focus on technology on all levels, COMANCO continues to grow.  An increasing presence in all sectors of the construction industry will see COMANCO leveraging state of the art technologies to dominate the market.
