Wastewater Storage Pond in Bell Project Continues to Progress
Wastewater Storage Pond in Bell Moves Into Construction
Superintendent William Newman and the COMANCO crew continue making excellent progress on the Wastewater Storage Pond in Bell project. Construction is well underway as the team prepares the site for the installation of an engineered containment system that will support long-term wastewater storage.
The project begins with extensive earthwork before advancing to the geosynthetic liner installation phase.
Preparing the Site for the New Pond
The COMANCO crew has begun excavating more than 66,000 cubic yards of material to create the new wastewater storage reservoir. Careful excavation and grading are essential to establishing the proper foundation before liner installation begins.
Once earthwork is complete, crews will install a 60-mil smooth HDPE geomembrane liner designed to create a durable, impermeable containment system capable of safely storing wastewater while protecting surrounding soil and groundwater.
Why Wastewater Storage Ponds Matter
A properly engineered Wastewater Storage Pond in Bell provides an efficient solution for collecting and storing wastewater until it can be safely managed or reused.
High-quality HDPE liner systems help:
- Prevent seepage into surrounding soils
- Protect groundwater resources
- Improve long-term containment performance
- Support environmental compliance
- Extend the service life of the storage pond
These engineered systems play an important role in environmental protection while providing reliable wastewater management for years to come.
