COMANCO Installs PVC Retention Pond Liner at Oak Ridge Development in Port St. Lucie

COMANCO recently completed the installation of a PVC geomembrane retention pond liner at the Oak Ridge development in Port St. Lucie, helping manage stormwater runoff while safeguarding a nearby protected wetland.

Under the leadership of Superintendent Joshua Philhower, the COMANCO crew installed more than 106,500 SF of 40-mil PVC geomembrane liner supplied by TITAN Environmental. To maximize efficiency and maintain strict quality standards, the liner was prefabricated into nine large panels before deployment.
Despite weather-related challenges, the experienced crew completed the installation while maintaining the high level of workmanship COMANCO clients expect. The completed liner system will provide durable, long-term containment for the community’s stormwater infrastructure.

While the project was straightforward in scope, the installation required careful coordination. The pond’s steep slopes, rainy conditions, and proximity to open water demanded constant attention to safety throughout the installation.
The site also bordered a protected wetland, where local wildlife remained active throughout construction.
