The stormwater management modification project led by COMANCO Superintendent Bill Newman continues to move forward as crews break ground on new phases of work. With expanded resources and a growing team, progress is accelerating across multiple sections of the site.

This stormwater management modification project focuses on improving capacity, efficiency, and long-term performance across key infrastructure areas.

Multi-Phase Construction Across Critical Areas

To meet project demands, COMANCO has increased manpower to allow simultaneous work across three major sections:

• Effluent Processing Facility (EPF)
• North West Ditch (NWD)
• Landfill Area (LF)

By working in multiple zones at once, the team is able to maintain momentum while ensuring each phase meets strict safety and quality standards.

North West Ditch Improvements and Liner Installation

Work at the North West Ditch is a key component of the overall stormwater management modification project. The redesign includes the installation of geosynthetic liners along with fabric-form concrete mats in high-velocity areas.

These upgrades are designed to:

• Improve water flow control
• Reduce erosion
• Increase long-term durability

Construction in this section began in late April, starting with site clearing and protection of existing utilities before moving into installation phases.
