COMANCO’s commitment to training was evident today during a follow-on training class for Department of Transportation Drivers utilizing an Electronic Logging Device (ELD). The federally mandated program which went into effect December 18, 2017, requires all DOT drivers operating commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds to utilize an ELD to log their driving hours. All of COMANCO’s drivers that fall under the new mandate have been issued an ELD to track their driving on and off-duty hours.
Classes have been centered around small groups with a concise training plan aimed at getting our drivers familiar with the system quickly. Many departments came together to get this program up and running including, Fleet, IT and Training. COMANCO is not only committed to training all of our employees thoroughly but also in maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.
