A COMANCO crew has been working on Phase I of a secondary containment project at a Chemical Plant in Central Florida. Work began last week with the lining of the area containing 4 tanks with 45 mil reinforced polypropylene liner and stainless steel batten bar.
The challenges encountered so far on this project have been working in a small area with other contractors and the amount of liner penetrations (sealed off by batten bar and pipe boots). Despite these challenges, the crew is keeping communication and alertness up at all times, and productions are being met. Most of all, no incidents have occurred on this job.
The project is being led by Project Superintendent Juan Gomez, Project Manager Dragan Milosavljevic, and Senior Project Engineer Nick Bridges.
