COMANCO would like to congratulate Adan Loza and Trevor Topp for successfully completing the Roadmaster’s Class A CDL Training course last week. This 3-week training covers compliance with the Department of Transportation laws, backing, turning, hooking a trailer, advanced truck driving techniques, map reading, trip planning, emergency actions for special situations and much more.
The students began their training at the Florida State Fairgrounds just south of the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL. They practiced on a 27-acre truck driving school training course specifically constructed for tractor trailer driving instruction. Then the students were taken to downtown Tampa to put their new skills to the test. The driving school trainers were there, every step of the way, to assist in the successful completion of the training.
Driving commercial motor vehicles requires advanced skills and knowledge beyond those needed to drive a car or other light weight vehicles. CDLs are only issued after a written and optical test has been given by the State or an approved testing facility.
