COMANCO has completed the installation of a horizontal composite drain in Bartow, FL. The crew worked relentlessly to construct the project, which consisted of a new design application. The drains were made up of close to 9,000 LF of a five layer geocomposite that tied into 1,700 LF of gravel drain which ran off to an outlet pipe. Also included in the scope of work was the grading of the perimeter berm to meet design elevations, placement of two feet of protective cover over the composite drains, and fusion welding and pressure testing of HDPE pipe. The COMANCO team worked together to come up with the best way to proceed with the job, and was able to accomplish everything safely, efficiently, and ahead of schedule. Project Manager Matt Remmert, Project Engineer Dan McRae, Project Superintendent Billy Wilson, and Site Foreman Max Macedo headed up the hard working and determined team that completed this successful project.
