The COMANCO team began deploying geosynthetics at Three Rivers Regional Landfill in Aiken, South Carolina this week. As a three-cell landfill expansion project, the scope of work includes the supply and installation of geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), 60-mil textured HDPE geomembrane, 200-mil double-sided geocomposite and 16 oz/sy non-woven geotextile. Additional HDPE leachate collection piping will be installed as well. The 12-man field crew, led by Superintendent Tony Sanchez, is scheduled to finish in mid-February. Below are progress photos showing the GCL and 60-mil geomembrane deployment.
