COMANCO Brings Employee Wellness to the Field
For employees working in the field, stepping away from a jobsite for an annual wellness physical is not always convenient. This year, COMANCO’s Human Resources team found another way to support employee wellness: bring the wellness program directly to the employees.
Last Friday, Employee Development Coordinator Miguel Ruiz and HR Administrator Cindy Lozano joined On-Site Health & Safety at one of COMANCO’s active project sites. Together, they provided on-site wellness physicals for field employees.
Making Employee Wellness More Accessible
With a large COMANCO workforce at the project, the site offered an opportunity to make annual wellness physicals more accessible.
Rather than asking employees to leave the jobsite, HR worked with the project management team to coordinate the wellness visit on-site. Employees could complete an important annual requirement with less disruption to their workday.
By the end of the visit, 20 COMANCO employees had completed their annual wellness physicals.
For HR, the day offered another benefit. Miguel and Cindy had the opportunity to spend time with employees in their work environment. They could connect face-to-face, answer questions, and learn more about their day-to-day experience in the field.

Connecting With COMANCO Employees in the Field
COMANCO employees work on projects across the country, often far from the Corporate office. Bringing resources directly to project sites can help bridge that distance.
The wellness visit provided a practical way to support employees while also giving HR valuable time with the field team. Conversations outside the Corporate office help strengthen connections between departments and the employees supporting COMANCO’s projects every day.
Supporting employee well-being goes beyond completing an annual requirement. It also means making resources accessible and recognizing the realities of working in the field.
With 20 physicals completed during the visit, bringing wellness directly to the jobsite proved to be a convenient option for participating employees.
Complete Your 2026 Annual Wellness Physical
COMANCO employees who still need to complete their annual wellness physical should plan ahead and avoid waiting until the end of the year.
The deadline to complete the 2026 annual wellness physical is December 30, 2026.
Employees can contact HR for information about upcoming Corporate Wellness Days, and HR can also help locate a participating clinic or answer questions about wellness requirements.
