COMANCO Teams Up with Ring Power to Deliver Heavy Equipment Training
COMANCO continues to prioritize safety and growth through ongoing training opportunities for our employees. Recently, our team participated in impactful heavy equipment training programs in partnership with Ring Power. These sessions enhanced technical skills and reinforced our culture of safety, excellence, and growth.
Dozer Training
Last month, eight COMANCO employees took part in a two-day Dozer Training program led by Instructor Blake Conwell and Bilingual Instructor Jose Valdes. On the first day, participants received classroom instruction covering the fundamentals of dozer functionality, equipment components, safety protocols, and hazard awareness. Jose Valdes provided bilingual instruction, ensuring every participant could follow along and fully engage in either English or Spanish.
The second day, employees moved into the field, where they put their knowledge into practice. Training highlights included proper start-up procedures, blade control techniques, and safe maneuvering. One of COMANCO’s equipment mechanics also joined the session to demonstrate maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting support. This approach reinforced COMANCO’s commitment to cross-functional learning and teamwork.
Haul Truck Training
Building on the success of the dozer training, COMANCO returned to Ring Power in September with 20 employees for a one-day Haul Truck Training program. Once again led by Blake Conwell and Jose Valdes, the training was divided into two groups to provide personalized attention. The day included classroom and field exercises focused on pre-operation inspections, equipment controls, jobsite safety, safe maneuvering, and loading techniques. Bilingual instruction once again played a crucial role, enabling all employees to participate actively and build confidence in their abilities.

They provided valuable opportunities for employees to enhance their skills while emphasizing the importance of safety and collaboration.
