COMANCO’s Delivering Results on Gyp Stack Lining to Support Environmental Resilience
COMANCO is currently executing a complex gypsum stack ditch lining project that plays a critical role in site infrastructure. Progress continues to move steadily, even amidst the intricate logistics and coordination required to keep operations running smoothly.
Current Project Status
Our crew is actively working on lining the road adjacent to the lower ditch. We’ve temporarily paused deployment on the lower ditch while we await subgrade approval. Once that green light is given, our team will resume liner installation with precision and efficiency.
Materials and Scope
We are deploying 60 mil DS textured geomembrane liner provided by AGRU, known for its durability and performance. The total scope includes 11.6 acres – or 503,708 SF – of liner. In addition to the liner, COMANCO is executing a change order to install geocomposite material atop the liner before placing the dirt cover. Our team uses geocomposite sourced from on-site inventory, which adds flexibility and value to the project.

With a high volume of equipment operating in the area, our teams have worked together efficiently to manage subgrade releases and establish safe, clear working routes. Unlike standard installations, this project demands a continuous, two-way coordination effort: we depend on the earthwork contractor to prepare and release subgrade sections, while they rely on us to have the liner and geocomposite in place before dirt placement can proceed.
