COMANCO Leadership Spotlight: Recognizing Jorge Barrantes
Meet Jorge, COMANCO’s Superintendent & Development Coordinator. Jorge has dedicated over 15 years to COMANCO. But, recently, he has taken on a new challenge in his career – a hybrid role. In addition to providing technical direction and oversight to our construction projects, Jorge now acts as a liaison and advisor to the organization’s leadership by facilitating training initiatives. In this new position, Jorge emphasizes COMANCO’s core values via the training and development of the field workforce. His role is critical in the current labor market and allows us to reinforce our team by empowering existing employees.
Jorge is the driving force behind the Employee Training Program (ETP), but Jorge takes ETP beyond the program. He understands that our mission should begin at the start; by investing in new hires. Because of the mentorship, field training, and week-long focused training on a mock job site, ETP will yield the next generation of skilled employees in the workforce.
Jorge’s vision for the future is vital to the ongoing growth of COMANCO. We are thrilled to see what he has in store during the next chapter of his career.
