Congratulations to Austin Clopeck for his accomplishments with the Florida Army National Guard in being promoted to Major.
The U.S. Army National Guard’s 3rd Battalion 116th Field Artillery Regiment, headquartered in Plant City with Batteries in Plant City, Avon Park, and Lake Wales, held a ceremony on February 22nd honoring a number of troops. During this ceremony, COMANCO’s Project Engineer Austin Clopeck received his third promotion in his 12-year career with the Military, going from Captain to his new rank as Major. Concurrently, he transitioned from the position of Operations Officer to Executive Officer of 3rd Battalion 116th Field Artillery Regiment.
A Battalion’s Executive Officer is responsible for the direction, coordination, and training of the staff and is second in command of the unit. This Battalion is a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) responsible for long-range, precision artillery fire. Along with its military mission, the Battalion has numerous activations providing support to citizens and first responders in the event of emergencies such as natural disasters.
When not performing his duties in the National Guard and as a Project Engineer with COMANCO, Austin participates in the U.S. Army Field Artillery Association Florida Chapter (Gator Redleg) and National Guard Association of Florida.
COMANCO is proud to support all branches of the military by hiring reservists and veterans. The military candidate pool has proven to yield some exceptional talent and, Austin is just one of the many COMANCO Team Members with current or past military service. COMANCO is excited to share this military career milestone with Major Austin Clopeck!
