COMANCO is coming near the end of a Central Florida landfill expansion project. Superintendent Chase Yarbrough has been leading the charge as they make a final push to wrap up this project. Currently, the crew is progressing to complete work on the storm water swales around the new cell. After using GPS dozers to achieve proper grade, the crew will be installing nearly 50,000SF of Turf Reinforcement Matting to stabilize the swales. Once TRM is installed, 90,000SF of SOD will be placed for erosion control. COMANCO’s electrical subcontractor is currently onsite running conduit and wiring up the controls for the new pump station being installed. As this project nears completion, the crew is keeping Safety at the forefront as the Florida rain is in full swing.
