COMANCO Environmental has wrapped up another secondary fuel containment project. This job was at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station off the East coast of Florida. Superintendent, Todd Kirkman, and a 4-man crew installed geotextile and HDPE geomembrane around 2 concrete jet-fuel containment structures. The geotextile acts a protective cushion layer between the concrete structure and the HDPE liner is to prevent any damage to the liner. The HDPE liner was mechanically fastened with the use of over 350 LF of stainless steel batten bar.
