COMANCO has been working on a partial closure on the South and West slopes on a landfill near Riverview, Florida. The team has so far completed placing an 8” intermediate soil cover layer, installing a gas collection system, and installing the HDPE geomembrane cap liner.
The crew is currently working on installing a layer of drainage composite above the liner, and will begin placing dual 15” corrugated HDPE pipes, hauling and placing an 18” protective cover and a 6” vegetative cover, and finally sodding the finish grade.
The crew is led by Foreman Nathan Wilfong, Foreman Gerardo Ruiz and Project Engineer Mohammad Lutfiyya. The job is scheduled to be completed in January 2015. The team is doing a great job in keeping safety as priority one, and working hard to provide a quality product for our valued customer. Please enjoy some of these progress photos.
