The COMANCO Team has just completed the liner system installation at the East Pasco County Landfill Closure project. The project scope included the installation of 750,000 SF of textured 40 mil LLDPE geomembrane, 430,000 SF of single-sided geocomposite drainage net, 360,000 SF of double-sided geocomposite drainage net, 4,300 LF of trench drain liner flap, and 750 LF of liner tie-in.
The crew, led by Project Superintendent Luis Londono, performed the work in two mobilizations. Work began for the first mobilization in early November 2012 and included the deployment of all the liner and some of the geocomposite. The crew demobilized in mid-December and mobilized again earlier this month to complete the remainder of the geocomposite and drain flap.
The project finished with zero injuries, delays, or set-backs.
