The COMANCO Team put the finishing touches on the Polk County North Central Landfill Gas Collection and Conveyance System project this month as Substantial Completion was reached on November 26, 2012. A final site walk-through was also performed on December 13, 2012 with the finished product meeting specification and drawing requirements as well as customer satisfaction. The flare station and gas system that COMANCO installed is now fully operational to meet the needs of the Phase III Expansion of the Polk County Landfill.
The project surfaced approximately one year ago, and the tireless efforts of many are credited with reaching the finish date parameters set forth by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
