COMANCO realizes that a key component of a good safety program is coming together on a regular basis to discuss safety related topics. COMANCO’s fleet personnel meet every Monday morning to do just that. This gives them a chance to discuss the past, ongoing, and upcoming projects and the safety measures involved with each.
Before this week’s meeting was officially underway, Adan Loza, one of COMANCO’s most recent CDL graduates, took the stage to explain how important it is always to wear a seatbelt, even if only moving equipment a short distance. He also stressed the importance of maintaining three points of contact while getting on and off equipment and vehicles.
Afterward, Tony Cole got the meeting going on the topic of ‘4 seconds’. The idea is that all employees will take an extra 4 seconds to examine and plan their tasks safely. This exemplifies COMANCO belief that there is no job worth rushing. COMANCO knows that rushing results in a lack of safety, poor quality, and ultimately poor customer service.
