COMANCO Environmental Corporation is nearing the end of the Cell 6 Expansion at New River Regional Landfill located in Union County, Florida. The team, led by Luis Espinal (Superintendent) and Troy Watral (Project Manager), began construction on July 11th. The on-site crew of 10 men are currently in the final week of the geosynthetic installation which consisted of deploying four layers: two layers of geocomposite and two layers of textured, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane. With the protective cover installation following close behind, a completion date is on schedule for the first week of September.
