Earlier this week, COMANCO began the geosynthetic liner installation phase on a Central Florida landfill expansion project. Superintendent Gerardo Ruiz and Foreman Robert Dobert are leading the COMANCO team on this 9-acre expansion project.
Over the next few days, the team will look to complete the primary 60mil HDPE geomembrane layer with GCL in the leachate collection trench and begin deploying double-sided geocomposite. Once geocomposite is underway, 1,200 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE perforated leachate collection pipe with a gravel burrito wrap will be installed.
