Jefferson Parish Landfill Cell 21 South Completion

COMANCO has finished lining Cell 21 South of the Jefferson Parish Landfill in Westwego, LA. Tony Sanchez and crew completed lining the cell in 2 weeks, beginning on September 6 and finishing September 19. The work consisted of 180,000 SF each of 40 mil Gundseal, 60 mil HDPE Liner, and double-sided Geocomposite. 30,000 SF of Composite Underdrain was also laid on the slopes. The job was completed safely and on schedule. COMANCO also left a very satisfied customer (IESI Corp.), and even received a nice compliment from the on-site inspector.

Matt Hipp with Terracon said, “I wanted to tell you how much of a pleasure it was to have Tony and his crew back onsite at Jefferson Parish. The weather worked against us, but the crew never once complained and did everything they could to move the job forward. Once again ya’ll have some of the best crews I have ever worked with in 19 years. Thanks so much for the hard work they do.” Below are photos of the work.
