COMANCO recently went back to the JED Landfill Leachate Storage project in St. Cloud, Florida in order to install ballast tubing and vents on the floating cover of one of the three lined leachate ponds. This pond will be tested with the ballasting and venting in place, and then the crew, led by Superintendent Jorge Barrantes, will return to install ballast tubes and vents on the larger leachate pond. The crew had previously installed geomembrane and geocomposite in all three ponds about 3 months ago, with two of the ponds receiving a floating cover across the top.
