COMANCO Starts Project in Sunny San Diego

by

This week, COMANCO Environmental began a liner installation project at a landfill in San Diego, California. The footprint of the new cell is just under 400,000 square feet. The first layer to be installed is a 40-mil HDPE textured liner, followed by GCL, 60-mil HDPE textured liner, and then a layer of 16 oz. geotextile. Once these layers are complete, a one-foot layer of gravel will be placed. Finally, a layer of 8 oz. geotextile will be installed, and the geosynthetics will be complete.

Superintendent Arnulfo Martinez and his 12-man crew have installed just over 100,000 square feet of the 40-mil layer thus far.
