COMANCO Environmental is in the process of installing 3 layers of geosynthetics in 5 leachate collection ponds at a landfill in Brewton, AL. The 3 layers consist of a secondary 60-mil HDPE geomembrane, a double-side geocomposite ,followed by a primary 60-mil HDPE geomembrane. The pond sizes range from 10,000 SF to 24,000 SF and will be used to store future leachate from the site’s active landfill cells.
