COMANCO Environmental recently completed a Geotube primary containment project in Cape Canaveral, FL. A 60-mil HDPE geomembrane was deployed over a prepared containment basin on a jetty in the Intracoastal. Geotubes will be installed over this liner for dredging operations. Geotubes are commonly used for large dewatering or sludge removal projects. The 60-mil HDPE liner installed by COMANCO will act as a barrier for any possible contaminated sediment or liquids that may discharge from the Geotubes during operations. Nice work by Supervisor, Alejandro Loza and an 8-man crew completing this job safely while encountering high winds being so close to Florida’s coastline.
