Earlier this week, COMANCO Environmental started geosynthetics deployment for a 30-acre Reject Water pond in Orlando, FL. The pond will be lined with three layers total: 1) 200-mil DS geocomposite gas venting layer, 2) 40-mil PVC liner, 3) a Non-woven 32-oz/sy protective geotextile. 2′ feet of protective cover soil will then be placed on top of the geosynthetics to complete the new pond construction. Prior to any work starting, a thorough safety meeting and site walk through was held with the entire crew. Safety is one of COMANCO’s core values and is the foundation for success on all projects.
