COMANCO Employees Scott N Harker (Project Manager) & Ruben Rios-Llamas (Project Engineer) attended the annual JR Simplot Contractor Training in Pocatello, Idaho last week. Items covered were changes in training protocol, updates in upcoming construction & Simplot’s status in the community/market. The biggest item discussed was communication. It is important to communicate at all levels of safety no matter what position you hold within or outside the company. Unfortunately the rules written are due to an accident or incident vs. a near miss because there is no communication. These events continue to happen because the information is not passed down from management to those who do the work continually.
Communicate at all levels to help increase the knowledge and increase the safety on every project .
