COMANCO Makes Progress on a Cooling Pond Earthwork Project

by

COMANCO has made significant progress on a cooling pond earthwork project at a chemical plant in Central Florida.  Currently, COMANCO has completed construction of a dissipation pad which will be used to reroute discharge pipes.  Construction of the dissipation pad involved hauling gyp, grading the slope, emplacing geotextile and riprap, and pouring concrete.  The crew has also placed anchors to secure the pipe extensions once welding is complete.  The six-man team, under the direction of Superintendent Bill Newman, continues to prepare the pipes for the tie-in.
